- Hi there i was wondering if anyone could advise me please. I only have a couple months left to pay my trust deed  off then i will be finished with it (only around £200) ,However i may be  coming into some money and have been told i would need to made my trust deed aware of this just wondering if this would make me lose out on my money im coming into even though i only have a small amount left to pay any help would be much appreciated as i am worried thank you.
Just a few additional details my initial debt was for £15000 and have paid just under 6000 so far and may receive around £9000 as a result of my compensation claim would this mean it would all go to my debt and have nothing left over thanks again
Good morning @laurakÂ
Welcome to the Forum.
As you probably suspect, you have a legal obligation to make your Trustee aware of any windfall that comes within 4 years of your Trust Deed being signed. This would include your compensation. You will need to contact your Trustee and advise them of your situation so that they can give you guidance as to the way forward in order to complete your Trust Deed.

@annmarie-macdonald Hi there thanks for replying i will let them know. I thought they could just take it from my bank account to save the hassle is this not the case? Or will i have to manually call them up and make a payment i am not the greatest speaker on the phone due to my speech problem thanks.
If you have correspondence from your Trustee there should be an email address for you to contact?
You should email them with the details of the compensation offer, they will propably request copies of any correspondence you have received so that they can contact them direct regarding the offer.
