Hi plummy,

I'm pleased that your conversation with Julie went well and that things are up and running for you.

Your comments, and those of greenie as well, really go to show that great care should be taken in selecting a firm to handle such an important process.

Am literally days (Thursday) away from meeting Julie and signing a Trust Deed. The phonecalls and letters have started agian after a few weeks grace and am wondering should I tell my creditors about the TD?

Thanks

Hello plummy,

Sorry about the slow reply; a few of the regulars on the site have been taking holiday (I think Julie is back in the office tomorrow).

I would suggest that there would be no harm in informing your creditors that you are shortly to sign a Trust Deed... and that this might help to relieve the pressure. Best to have a quick chat with Julie about this though as she will have a closer understanding of your circumstances.

Hi plummy

I have no objections if you give the creditors my details and let them know that you are just about to sign a Trust Deed. Once you have signed the Trust Deed, if you let me know which creditors in particular are phoning you, I can get in touch with them on your behalf.

Its now three weeks since I signed my Trust Deed, but due to a change in my personal circumstances my Tax Credits will be changing. I'm still waiting to find out what my new award will be. I have e-mailed Julie briefly about this but am wondering how much my TD will take, will it be all of it or a percentage?
Thanks

Hi plummy,

Your Trust Deed payment will be based upon your income minus your recorded expenditure.

It sounds as though you think the tax credits might increase? If that's the case you may need to increase your monthly contribution in line with the increase in income.

I'd suggest getting in touch with Julie and her team once you know the details to talk it through with them.

Hi Plummy

I agree with TDA's comments. If your tax credits increase, so might your contribution, however we will assess this once we have a copy of your tax credit award.
