Hi there

We have recieved the form 5 in october along with a letter saying they have no interest in our house.

The trustee is now investigating PPI claims, of which I dont think there will be any. We have not heard anything since 15th October.

Could selling the house be a problem? would it hold up the sale? We have a chance to move into cheaper rented accommodation.

Is there any pitfalls with the trustee still being involved? would they take any profit, there will not be much if any but it would be good to know.

Thanks very much

LisaJane

Hi LisaJane.

I doubt that there is any issue at all here. Always a good idea to check with the trustee to reassure yourself fully on that though.

Hi LisaJane

TDA is correct. For the Trustee to issue Form 5 there is a legal requirement for the Trustee to advise creditors that you have fulfilled your obligations under the Trust Deed, however more importantly before issuing Form 5, the Trustee requires to remove any inhibition over the property. They would need to be certain that there was no interest in the property before doing this.
