Hi i have a protected trust deed in place and intend to get married next year, at the time of signing my TD i had no home or major assets. My fiancee has a house and when we become married this will then become the marital home and i think could then be seen as an asset? Is this correct, would this cause any problems with my TD ie having to use the equity in the house to pay of my debt? Any help in clearing this up would be great thanks.
Hi gen13
Stop worrying, while it may be the marital home, it's not an asset and won't be unless he legally transfers it into your name. (which I wouldnt advise)

Hi Thanks for clearing that up mark we won't be transferring it into my name just at the moment then!!! and amy was right it should have been she lol!!
thanks for your help
Hi gen13
No probs. It's a fairly common question, but assets very rarely transfer in Trust Deeds unless a legal transfer takes place.

PS I'll check the profiles in future.
