Hi everyone, just a wee update to say that everything is finally coming toghether now!

My dad was guarentor for us and we are now pickign up the keys to the rented hosue tomorrow. My husband filled out the voluntary surrender forms for Northern Rock and received a calling up notice from a solicitors yest which he has to sign to allow NR to go ahead and take possession. I called a lady at the solicitors who was a fantastic help, really nice. She said we have to send the forms once we have moved as NR will take possesion in 3-5days after they receive the forms. She said we can ask NR not to display any notices in the window and it's up to NR to ask the tradesmen not to display anything if they agree there is no need. She is going to write to the council once it has been done so that they will be able to process our housing benefit claim once repossesion has taken place.

It has been confirmed that the shortfall will def go in to the trust deed. Once we move we ill be able to make more payments to the trust deed and have more or less agreed to have the extension paid off in one year instead of two years so come a year in Sept we should be free of the trust deed altogether!!

I feel like a huge weight is being taken off our shoulders. I still have alot of nerves about it all and have alot to do (phoning people, moving furniture ect) and scared something will all go wrong but we are moving to a lovely house that will be healthy for the kids, we are getting rid of the debt that was hanging over us and in a year and a halfs time we will be free of it all and can start again.

Thanks everyone! Had a missed call from the company his trust deed is with saying they have received the paperwork form the solicitir and can he call them about it so we are a bit nervous the trustee wont sign them or something as NR wont take possession without them being signed. Shouldn't be a problem though as they did say they would have paperwork to sign and we warned them the paperwork was on it's way. Fingers x'd they get it signed off asap and we will send our copy midweek next week so we can then move in and NR can go ahead with taking possession. I cant fault the solicitor dealing on NR behalf though, they have been a fab help and have given lots of advice on how it all works and what to do next xxx
