Hi All,
Just a general question for those of you who are in process or have completed a Trust Deed, please.
At the start, after a bit of relief at talking about your financial situation, did you question whether you were doing the right thing.
I'm finding myself fluctuating on a daily basis - 'is this the right thing to do'?, 'maybe I could just carry on and try to sort this out'?
I've really been putting off making a firm decision about proceeding with a TD, or indeed perhaps another possible solution, for so long! Sometimes our situation seems so surreal, but I know it is real - I can see all the numbers down in black and white, and how it just never adds up no matter how creative I try to be!
Just wondering if anyone else had felt similarly.
Thanks again in advance for any thoughts or experience you might share.

It's bound to feel a bit like that I reckon, when you consider that you have probably been trying for so long to keep going, keep juggling and manage everything as best you can. It must feel like admitting failure to suddenly do the opposite and to stop paying things as they fall due.
It's not a failure, in my opinion it's actually quite a brave thing to do to fight against your ingrained instincts and to take a rational approach to resolving the problem with a more effective remedy.
I wonder if it might help give you peace of mind to get a second opinion from another insolvency professional? We are always happy to help, so feel free to contact one of us experts here.
Hi there,
Thanks to both of you for getting back - yes, have made contact with David. A second opinion will be very welcome.

Hi Mr Hopeful. A trust deed is on your credit file for 6 years so ask yourself this, can I pay off all my debts in 6 years at an affordable amount without having the stress of making the next payment? If the answer is no then a trust deed could be the solution. There is a certain stigma attached to insolvency which is what I believe holds people back. I am 1 year into my TD and my stress levels are all but gone. Hope this helps and good luck whichever path you choose
