I tried to join and it wouldn't let me either. Bloody cheek!

I did panic a bit after giving them my bank details!

Hi all.

Noddle is part of CallCredit, one of the "Big 3" credit reference agencies. I don't think there need be any concern about bank details.

We did a fair bit of research to put together a page on the site that might be useful for people that want to get hold of their credit report for various reasons, but especially to confirm their creditors prior to a trust deed or to check the status of default notices and other creditor reporting after a trust deed.

Our research is rather confirmed by the posts in this thread. Noddle is naturally attractive because there is no charge. However, there was a fair bit of feedback that we found in various places that the information on there might not be as complete as that provided elsewhere. Reidy1982's post seems to confirm this with three creditors missing from her Noddle credit report.

Other evidence we found indicated that the sign-up processes for other services seemed to be better, something again seemingly confirmed by peoples experiences reported in this thread.

Everything we found pointed towards the CreditExpert service being the most suitable (for a range of reasons) to confirm creditors or to check precise reporting on your accounts after a trust deed. However, despite there being a widely available free trial for a month, there is a substantial ongoing cost if you retain the service afterwards.

All of this is explained more on our page:

If it were me, I'd use the CreditExpert trial for an important one-off event like confirming the details of my creditors, or to get an accurate status report a few weeks after discharge from a trust deed.
For longer-term access and monitoring I think Noddle might be really useful.

Hi Amerififer.

Probably no reason to worry about your bank details, but the customer service angle does seem a bit patchy for Noddle.

Still, it is free (eventually hopefully).
