The heart of the issue here is whether you have been discharged or not.

If you have been you are entitled to request that your creditors update your credit file. See: https://www.trust-deed.co.uk/repair-your-credit-rating.html

I do hope you get that clarification from your trustee very soon so that you know where you stand.

Can you explain a bit about how you got the free credit report, also very worrying to find out that no money has been paid to your debts.This bothers me as I am down to my last 2 payments, my husband has made all his payments.

As we've heard before on the forum the issue with VAT on trust deeds is making it difficult for a trustee to finalise everything and then discharge themselves.

I wonder if one of our experts could confirm whether this has resulted in situations where the creditors have not been paid their dividend because the trustee is unsure how much it should be?

I know as a firm we did a large exercise ealier in the year to get all the VAT back, and received all the funds, but other firms may not have. There is also an issue with PPI. However, if your Trust Deed was signed after April 2008, neither of these issues should stop you being discharge.

Sign up for a free credit report for life at (link removed) They basically have a few adverts on the site to promote products you may be interested in.

Anyone who wants to find Noddle will be able to do so easily via a search engine and it is an option that's worth a look.

Hi my TD was signed in March 2008 which I believe makes it a bit more complicated. But I really do think that some progress should have been made by now. Basically Noddle provide the free credit report but it actually comes from Callcredit I think they were called. Noddle will let you get the free credit report using a visa or mastercard. I only had a maestro card and noddle referred me to callcredit, i could get one from the for £ 2 but for some reason my card wouldn't process. Anyway I had a pre-paid travel money card which was a mastercard and was able to use this on noddle. Strangely though I don't know how it works for ID purposes as I used the same card to request my husbands report for him also and it went through also..........i have drafted a letter to my Trustee and this will be sent recorded delivery. I'm telling them if I don't receive a full response within 2 weeks, I want the whole issue dealt with as a complaint. I think what has peeved me off most is that I borrowed the lump sum off my parents which I wouldn't have had to do had there not been a "misunderstanding" re cashing in an endowment to pay off the equity (long story), but the upshot of it is I could have waited till now to encash the endowment and pay my parents back as it is there was a shortfall by the time i was allowed to encash it and I now owe my parents £ 5,000. Great fresh start. And the Trustees have had this money all this time and done nothing with it. I could go on. Lets just say that there have been a few lessons learnt and I wouldn't recommend the company if they were the last one on Earth 🙁
