Hi Dollybee.

I Very much doubt there will be a problem, but advance communication is always a good idea.

dollybee,Bit confused now did you that loan for the equity or is that the loan your mother is hoping to get for you. We are just at the stage of the equity now and not sure what to do for the best. Really dont want to pay over the odds. Because the 1 thing when the 36 months are over it will be nice to have some spare cash. We are paying 562 per month.Would it be better to extend the deed, with lower payments hopefully.

Think the secured loan thing wasnt pursued and a loan from motherdollybee was being looked into.

As for extending a TD it really depends on how much equity is to be covered and how long it is likely to take.

Plasticdaft you are spot on. Although Lorrainek, the secured loan is still available for me should I change my mind. I will update in a few days. But I will say this. I took a abrainstorm the other day and asked my branch for a personal loan, deep down I knew it would be rejected, but the weird thing is, I got a text from my bank tonight saying it has been referred to the underwriting dept for careful consideration....... It will still rejected but at least theyve not said no instantly, maybe they have looked at my finances over the past 4 years or so and saw that ive never missed any direct debits and never been overdrawn. Who knows..... Will keep you all posted.

Thanks guys for your replies. what bank are you with dollybee, dont think i would be brave enough yet to ask our bank, so afraid of it being no.We are at the stage my husband last payment is at the end of this month. My last payment is not due till Dec, so very unsure as to what will happen now will my husbands payments be stopped ? We havent agreed what amount of equity as yet? We dont agree with their valuation.

Just phone up your case manager and confirm that your hubby can cancel the dd/so after the final payment has come out. What are you doing about the disagreement over the equity figure?

Hi,
Thanks for that. Nothing as yet, they gave quite a high valulation at the beginning, but no way would our house sell for that sum.I have seen on here that some companies discard the first £5000, but this depends on each company. Also been reading about this £500 some are being asked for getting quite frightened by it all.
