After 7 difficult years in a trust deed I received my form 5 today [:D]

I would like to thank everyone who has advised me on here - I wish I had found this site before signing!

My advise to anyone thinking of entering a trust deed is to take your time and do your research, don't just sign with the company the debt "charity" puts you in touch with. Make sure your budget is agreed in writing and if the company don't allow you to save for emergencies then steer clear.

Hi fcwalker,

Fantastic news and especially on a Friday. Congratulations on successfully completing your Trust Deed and now receiving your Form 5 Certificate of Discharge. 7 years is a long time to be in a Trust Deed so I hope there may be some celebrating this weekend.

Itโ€™s good advice about taking your time and doing some research and to ensure that everything is confirmed in writing as things can vary from firm to firm.

Good luck for the future and enjoy being debt free.
