Today me and my wife both received our form 5 ( Happy Days) first of all I would like to thank all the advisors on this forum, a big well done, you have done and will continue doing a fantastic job, it's been a pleasure speaking to you all, thank you.
However what does this Form 5 mean, does it mean I can win the lottery tomorrow and my Trustee can't ask for some of it, lol. Thanks again all.

Hi poprey.

That's wonderful news. Sincere congratulations to you both.

Thank you also for your kind words.

Form 5 is your discharge. If it has been confirmed on the Register of Insolvencies then its official.

You can buy a lottery ticket tomorrow in genuine hope it would seem, or squirrel away the ยฃ2 for a rainy day! Your well earned choice.

Lol, thank you TDA, just looking to move on and it has taught me to only spend what i can afford, so if i havent got the money, i cant have. It has been registered on the AIB website, its been a long and hard journey but worth it. Thanks again for you help, advise and support.

Hi poprey,

Well done on successfully completing your Trust Deed and receiving your Form 5 certificate of discharge.

As you have now been discharged if you win the lottery it's all yours to keep.

Like you said about budgeting a lot of my clients say whilst a Trust Deed hasn't been easy it's taught them to manage their money much better on a monthly basis. I think this is one of the real benefits of a Trust Deed.

All the best for the future and enjoy being debt free.

Thanks a lot David, Kevin and TDA you are 3 top people, thanks again, just waiting now for my creditors to put up to date on my credit file instead of default and hopefully my score will start rising. Thank you. One last question, Would I have to keep all my paperwork just now or would I be able to shred it.
