Hi after 3 years I received my Form 5, I am so so happy!!! I checked on the AIB register and it has January 2016 as the debtors discharge date but nothing in the trustee discharge date??? Can someone help? I see a few people saying they still have issues after they get their form 5 but I thought that was it over and I could try and sort my credit file etc. Also I assumed this meant from this date on the TD company and the creditors can take any money i have or come into.

Congratulations Chillypink - you sound really pleased.

Form 5 is your discharge. You can start to address your credit file if there are any issues with it. Any newly acquired assets will be yours to keep.

Your trustee may not be discharged for a fair while yet, but that need not hold you back.

Hi ChillyPink,

Well done on successfully completing your Trust Deed and receiving your Form 5.

Don't worry about the Trustee discharge, the relevant part for you is your discharge.

If you win the lottery it's yours!

Good luck for the future and enjoy being debt free.

Thank you, it still doesn't seem real. I am so glad I did it now, it was hard but worth it. My husband is still waiting on his Form 5, TD ended 7 months ago but they keep saying there is a PPI issue with Llyods and its them that are holding the discharge up!!! I'm worried about how long this could go on for and how long we can continue to keep chasing the TD company!???

Hi Chillipink.

My Trustee discharge was 13 months after my own discharge.

Hi Chillypink.

We do hear that most trustees can discharge their client while continuing to work on connected PPI claims.

It might be reasonable to ask why this cannot also be the case for your husband.
