I have recently entered into a trust deed which has become protected in the last few weeks. Last week I got a letter through demanding payment for and old debt to a mobile phone company that I had forgotten about and hadn't included in the initial information I had given at the start of the trust deed.

Can they still take further action or are they also bound by the trust deed?

Thanks

The debt is covered by the PTD, just advise your Trustee and send them the reminder, also best to call creditor to advise them that you are now in a PTD.......

Good Luck...

Hello Lola143 and welcome back.

Porcupine is spot-on.

Best to contact your trust deed compamy with the details as soon as possible in this instance.

Hi lola143

Forgotten creditors are the main reason for The Edinburgh Gazette notice. It allows the Trustee to argue that details of the Trust Deed were 'public' knowledge.

It'll be fine. Just pass the details to your Trustee.
