Finally received letter confirming no creditor objections and trustee discharge .Debtor discharge 1/11/2018 trustee discharge 4/4/2019 . Would like to thank all who took the time to offer advice when things were going wrong but can now hopefully put it behind me and look to the future .

Hi Marieh. Can I please ask that mentioned dates were included within the original term (ex. 48 months) or trustee had to be paid above the original term. Thank you. (I'm currently at half time of my term)

Hi questionmark,

The Trustees fees are normally collected from the payments that someone will make into their Trust Deed. If the Trust Deed runs longer than the 4 years then the fees come from the amount of money that has been collected into the Trust Deed.

Fees are also nowadays based on a fixed fee and a percentage of the money that is received into the Trust Deed.

In the event that enough money is collected into a Trust Deed to repay all debts and interest then on top of this the Trustees fees and costs can be added. An example could be a lottery win or inheritance which is sufficient to repay everything.

Are you worried about fees and costs of your Trust Deed?

Hi Swandog
Thanks for your detailed answer. I thought the same you wrote but Marieh's dates confused me a bit. ๐Ÿ™‚ All clear now. I have doing TD for 24 months and I do hope I will have another 24 months and done. I closely cooperate with my trustee in everything because this is my last chance to start a new life. Unfortunately I had the same situation like many of us... sign here, sign there and no clear information. I have picked up every little info from the forum to have a whole picture. Thank you again.
