Hello, took the bull by the horns this morning and phoned insolvency company. Got some info at last. Case not looked at closely but new person had quick check and probably will be discharged from TD and then to go and see CAB or similar to apply to the AIB, this will take a bit of time so will probably be a MAPP and may pay something during summer months, but I hope this will be affordable and will be based on annual figures. He did question that I had signed a document which where I had agreeded to make the 48 payments, when this was unlikely, I told that I had brought this up several times at the meeting, but had been advised by both his collegue and the debt charity person that the TD was the best way forward, I naively thought they knew something I didnt as they are the experts, he checked with his collegue and after a second phonecall, said there been a'misunderstanding' I dont want another winter of empty fridge & behind in utilities. Has not given me much faith in going to so called experts for help I hope the way forward is a lot clearer and professional. Thank you for the support here,
Glad to hear it, happyatsea.
Not sure what they mean by MAP but paying something during summer months. MAP only lasts 6 months anyway. If it turns out that you can afford something then you are upgraded to "full administration" bankruptcy.
Anyway, first things first - the ins and outs of the new bankruptcy regime can be looked at once you are clear of the Trust Deed.
