I have been with Wilson Andrews for around 11 months, I declared before I joined that my wages may vary as I cvan earn commision , however not every month. I was informed to send my consultant any wage slips when I earned commision which I did ( however she went off on long term sick so I receieved no correspondence back, When thos came to light I forwarded every to my new consultant. I then lost my job and was unemplyed for 2 months, I made one payment however contacted WA who agreed to miss a payment and to add it onto tyhe end of the deed. I started another job and again was let go however was able to secure another role without missing payment. I received a letter to say that I am making an extra £342 a month? ( so not true ) and my deed payments have increased by £225 per month ( on top of what I am paying ). I though these deeds were supposed to help you and not cripple you. I'm in a mad panic as I cannot afford another £200plus a month. What can I do? can I move my Trust deed to another company etc or what are my options ? Please advise as I am in such a panic

Also apologies for the spelling, i'm so frustrated and upset whilst I type this ( yes I got letter today , no call to discuss anything etc )

Sounds like you need to speak to them blondina. If your income hasn't actually gone up, i dont see why they are asking for any more money. Maybe just a mistake when they've been looking at your payslips?
I get a bonus occasionally in my job and I've just told them about it each time rather than waiting for my review. I totally agree that trust deeds are there to let you pay what you can, but not cripple you. Fortunately I've not been out of work at all during my time in trust deed so far, but I do remember they said to me that if it happens, first thing to do is to tell them.
Unfortunately I don't think you can change trust deed companies once you've started, but I would think a reasonable company should discuss changes with you. From what you've said, really hope they've just made a mistake!
Hi Blondina
The contribution needs to be based of surplus income irrespective of arrears etc.
I think you should advise the trustee that you have sought advice.

Thanks for your replies. Craigie, I did email wageslips when I make commission ( hence my contact who was off unwell )and unfortunately I didnt know this until much later. Mark I will contact the trustee and keep you posted.
I'm reading more and more posts of unhappy people in regards to Wilson Andrews, Is there any way I can transfer my trust deed to a company who will handle it more professionally?
Thanks
Blondina

quick question, I normally have to borrow money off my mother on a monthly basis ( ie via online banking ) however it my online account clearly shows me paying her back ( then having to borrow again ) would that classed as extra income?
Thanks
L Herd
Hi Blondina
No. If you can show the credit to your account & subsequent debit there should be no issue.
Unfortunately you cannot transfer the Trustee.

so basically even if wilson andrews are in the wrong because after my increase and bills ( all via direct debit that can be proven ) with the increase i'm left with £54 per month, Surely that is very wrong?
L Herd
I meant to carry on typing there, just very upset..there must be some kind of law against this, I have always co operated with wilson andrews, sent off all statements etc requested, please advise

£54per month to live on?
Surely not!?
Yes £54 per month to live on. I really do appreciate your advice and will be calling them on Monday, what other options do I have apart from trust deed?
L Herd
Hi Blondina.
You're legally bound by the trust deed, so you have few options unless the trustee agrees to release you.
This is why it makes sense to work things through with them. They should be able to show you the "income and expenditure record" that they have used to calculate your new payment.
You may find that the numbers are correct and reasonable. You may find that an error has crept in that needs to be corrected. Either way hopefully the uncertainty will be removed for you and you'll be able to proceed in a manageable way.
Could you ask to speak to your trustee as I'm assuming it's your administrator that went off on the sick. If you get this sorted out, could you ask that commission be treated like a bonus and that you inform them when your wage changes from your bottom line? With the best budgeting skills in the world, you can't live on £54 per month.
Is there no contingency for someone else to take over cases if a person goes off sick in trust deed firms? The ones represented by the experts on here seem to excel in communication but others are awful. My administrator changed a few times and the only way I found out was by a change in the name on the letters or an out of office reply saying that the person no longer worked there.
It's crap this has happened over a weekend. Hopefully you get a good response on Monday when they open up again.
Nothing left to discharge - everything's done and dusted!
I really dont think that I can live on £54 per month ( thats without calculating my petrol or travel to work)
Can I request to be released? I really do want to continue on a trust deed and I would appreciate any recomendations of who to poosibly contact if released from Wilson Andrews as I, definately not happy with the service ( I emailed wageslips to my account manager when I made commision however wasnt made aware she was on long term sick ) When I found out , it was confirmed that they couldn't look into her emails. I co operated fully with WA by resending everything. Im guessing this makes it look like I was hiding my commision etc ?
Thanks
