Hi!
Since last week I have received a further detailed letter from my IP detailing my statement of account and a copy of the letter he is sending out to my creditors in regards to my TD being wound up! After he has taken his fees my creditors will be getting back 59p in the pound (initial proposal was 10p in the pound) however, due to my critical illness policy paying into the TD they will all get more.. My thoughts.. Well I am just so happy that the end is in sight, my form 5 should be with me by the end of the week and then it's onto cleaning up the credit file! I cannot wait to get working on that #128515;
I was surprised to find 4 of the 14 creditors have not claimed anything from my account.. It's as if they have written the debt off.. Is this common?
As with the majority of you I have kind of held my breath through the last 4 years and learned to live well within my means which will serve me well in my mission to be deemed a creditworthy member of society again! My car is on its last legs and I would dearly love to drive a newer car but, after reading many of the topics on this fabulous site I will bide my time (and pray that my car will last another year!!) and I will try for sensible car finance maybe end of next year or early 2017(my TD will not fall away completely until November 2017).
Eeeeeek! That's something to look forward to#128077;#127995;#128522;
Hello mazc75.
You certainly sound very pleased and relieved.
I think it is relatively common for a creditor or two to fail to submit a claim to a trust deed. I'd imagine that this most often probably comes down to poor administration at the lender or at a debt purchaser that had bought the debt.
Let us know when the Form 5 arrives!
Thanks TDA! It's been a long road but, one where I have been through life changing situations and doing this (going into a TD) gave me back responsibility for my financial life.. As the saying goes 'money makes the world go round'.. we don't need it to be healthy or happy but, without out it what would we do?!
I'll let you know when I receive my form 5 and thank you for all your advice so far!!
Don't worry about those creditors that haven't claimed, mazc75 - they can't come back to you looking for any payment in the future just the same as those that do receive a pay-out.
Thanks Kevin.. It is a worry and that's what I'm nervous about! Good to know they can't come back again! Onwards and upwards!
