I've heard that people have had their TD extended to three years to pay off the equity, has anyone had it longer say four years?

Do you mean extended by a further 3 years ie 6 years in total for Trust Deed and extension.

There is no set rule as such and would be at the discretion of the Trustee as to how long this carried on.

Hi am123456.

As Mark mentioned it's at the discretion of your trustee.

It's therefore really just down to what you can persuade your trust deed provider to accept.

I think 48 months is probably stretching it.

The Trustee has an obligation to pay creditors and may consider that selling is a shorter option and more beneficial to creditors. However that said, it is at the discretion of the Trustee and the creditors.
