hi
i got helpfull information from mark over a year ago, well i paid my
final payment to my trust deed in december 2009 but the firm i am with have asked for an additional ?ú840 to be paid over 3 months.
i cashed in my insurance policy to help out my son who ,due to the recession, lost his job the company he worked for went into liquidation so he got nothing at that time.he paid me back but i used the money to buy a new bed my husband was diagnosed with cancer
so i was trying to make him as comfortable as possable ,i used the rest of the monet to pay a large dentist bill.i explained this to
the people who deal with my trust deed and i sent the dental bill to them but they did not even reply.i have already paid ?ú300 of the
amount and am due to pay another ?ú300 this week is it worth while
desputing the amount? unfortunitely they have access to my bank account as one of them is my money manager,so i am not sure if i can stop them from taking the money.please advise i just want to finish with this and concentrate on starting over.thankyou manet
Hello manet,
I think everyone will understand the reasons that you chose to cash in the insurance policy.
It sounds as though your Trustee has deemed this to be an acquired asset and therefore that additional contributions should be made in lieu of this. Hopefully one of our experts can provide an opinion as to whether there are any grounds upon which you might dispute this addtional payment or whether you should consider the request to be legitimate.
Is your bank account one that was provided to you by a company connected to the Scottish Trust Deed firm you chose?
Hi manet
As Trust Deed Assistant says, the reasons for cashing in the policy are understandable and it does seem to be a harsh stance that your trustee is taking. Having said that, it is really up to the trustee to make that judgement and I am not confident that you would be successful in disputing this I'm afraid.
hi
thanks for replying to my question,i had an idea i would have to pay
all the money but i will write to them again and see what happens.
i feel as though they dont want to let me go.the bank account i have is connected to the firm my trust deed is with ,i am hoping to raise
next months payement this month just to be rid of them,i can honestly
say my experiance with them has not been a pleasure.i wish i had found your forum before i signed with them as i was happy enough
paying off my debts before they advised me to enter into a trust deed. thanks again for your help manet
