Hi all. I was sequestrated in October 2009 and discharged one year later. I've paid a contribution to the trustee for three years up to and including last month.

However I've not heard anything from the Trustee to say that the 3 year period is now completed and that they are not expecting me to make any further payments.

Is this normal? Should I cancel my standing order to the Trustee? Or is there some other procedure to follow?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi Prometheus

No, this is pretty normal. The finalisation for sequestration takes a wee bit longer than trust deeds. If you've made all the payments there should be no issue cancelling the standing order.

Hi Mark, thanks. I had permission to miss 2 payments as there was an unexpected bill from HMRC earlier this year.

Hi Prometheus and welcome.

It's very useful to have a Greek Titan amongst our membership!

If you want reassurance on this issue I'd just give your trustee a quick call on Monday.
