Hi fedup

Welcome to Technical Corner.

Is your internet working? That's were I always start, followed by the usual turn it off and turn it on routine.

I think you mean the site's "member to member" email function?

To be honest I don't know whether it's working, though members have an option to disable the function when they register to the site.

I doubt it would allow you to email yourself.

Not everyone will want to be contacted by email through this site fed up. Maybe they have just turned the option off.

I turned the option off as my email add is my name and I'm kind of embarrassed about the whole situation!...even though it would be nice to chat to someone in same position.
