Hi this is my first time posting so i apologize for the long story, four years ago my partner and i entered our trust deed owing about 21k, it was over 5 years and around ยฃ330 per month,we have never missed a payment and have struggled for the last four years making the sacrifices that needed to be made,we have just had our third child(we only had one when the trust deed was signed) and are hopefully starting to see the end but there has been a few problems,i have not spoken to,had a letter or a review from my trustee since 2011 in fact the only time i heard from them was when they asked to do ppi claims in 2013 on the debts in the trust deed i signed the paper work and sent it back, i also chased up some ppi claims that i had many many years ago and won about 3k at the time i wanted to declare to my trustee but foolishly spent the money on some essentials for the kids, reason for my post is now that i have just started reading the forum i am literally terrified now because i didn't declare it and cannot sleep as i am thinking they could bankrupt me now,i have also had an offer from a third party to pay of the remainder of my payments but at this moment i honestly don't know what to do or even if my trustee would take early settlement.

help please[:(]

Hi pac111

It's always difficult to anticipate the actions of other trustees. My advice would be to put the proposal to finish early to the trustee and see what they say. On the basis that they accept, then this may bring things to a close.

I wish we could, but I'm afraid we can't answer your last question pac111. You're obviously aware that the money should have been declared and paid over. The trustee will have to consider what's going to be in the best interests of your creditors. Having a third party that can offer a lump sum might be one positive factor for you here.
