I still have a year to go on my trust deed having signed in May 2010,have been reading a lot here about PPI claims delaying discharg with some companies. Does anyone have any experiance with/know how Carrington Dean stand on this issue? I have already been issued with and signed paperwork to allow them to investigate any missold PPI on my behalf which (last year in fact) which I felt was encouraging they were starting to look at that now and not leaving it to the end but on the other hand that was over 6 months ago and have not been informed of any progress with it either. So far the trust deed has been a positive experiance, permanantly skint obviously! but was like that anyway during all the time I struggled to keep my head above water.
It wouldnt do any harm to ask how they are getting on chasing up ppi claims. At least its not getting left until the end.

A new dawn.
Hi Cheerykel
I'm about a year behind you and also with Carrington Dean (formerly Buchanan Roxburgh) and would comment that they have been first class. Like you they also sent out the PPI forms six months ago.
I'm soon coming up for my 1 year review, can you tell me what information CD required from you?
Thanks
PB
Hi PB,
the yearly rv was very straight forward, I gave them an up to date breakdown of my outgoings and if I remember correctly my last 3 payslips.
Its nice to hear good feedback from someone else about carrington dean, you hear so much about companies that are less than helpful that you can't help but worry.
Just read your comments on Carrington Dean who have been a bloody nightmare!! Made my final payment in Nov 2011 and still waiting to be discharged, as they apparently could not locate my Buch Roxburgh file, can't work tWo admin systems and there's a dispute over VAT on Trust Deeds. Still none the wiser and still not discharged, so don't build up your hopes.
Hi Cheerykel, my trust deed is with Carrington Dean and I've found them to be great compared to other companies mentioned on this forum. My last payment was made in February and I had a meeting with Carrington Dean regarding how I was going to settle the outstanding equity in my flat. During the meeting they said they were not pursuing PPI claims on my behalf and it's not their policy to pursue PPI for someone nearing the end of their PTD. I was relieved but told them I had signed a letter agreeing that they could investigate PPI claims approx 6-8 months previously. They said they sent the same letter to all clients so they had our written permission already on file if they decided to pursue any claims. They said if I hadn't been contacted within a few months then they weren't interested in pursuing PPI claims. I hope that's the case with you, but it would be worth phoning and asking for confirmation.
Thanks Lorrs thats great, sorry to hear that kmcgurn - hope you get it sorted soon.
