Hi,

I was discharged in June 2014, but trustee remained in office to investigate PPI. There was none and that was confirmed several months ago. I contacted trustee and asked for an update as to his discharge and they said they were waiting on confirmation of PPI claim and as I'd found out 2-3 weeks prior it had gone back with no claims he said that it should be imminent.

That was several months ago. I looked on AIB a few weeks back and there was a trustee date of discharge. Can't remember what it said, but shouldn't I have had something in writing to confirm their discharge? Also I can't myself on AIB now, does that get removed after I've been discharged for 1 year?

Thank you

Saabrina

Hi saabrina.

Your entry on the register should vanish a year after your trustee is discharged.

I'm not sure your trustee is obligated to notify you of their discharge.

Thanks TDA, entry is there today. AIB must not have been working last night as it often doesn't.

I guess the trustee being discharged too is a bit of a psychological barrier crossed for you that it is now all over, saabrina?

Maybe it has seemed like a long road at times, but ultimately very much worth it?
