Hi, can anyone tell me,should the default date on your credit report be the date you signed the TD,the date it got protected or the date your discharged from your TD?Also if you had a joint loan with your partner and the loan went in the TD and he is paying to a debt management company will that show default on my credit report till he has paid in full?

Hi lucygirl.

If they haven't been issued previously, the date of default notices should be around the start of the trust deed process. Much more on that subject in the following article that you might find useful:

https://www.trust-deed.co.uk/repair-your-credit-rating.html

Your credit record should reflect your personal status and should therefore be updated accordingly. Therefore, once the trust deed is finished, any default notice (for you) should be marked as satisfied or partially satisfied according to my understanding.

Most of my defaults are 3 months after the trust deed became protected, one that was sold on was re-defaulted 10 months into the trust deed. As soon as tenon discharge themselves(still waiting for an update,non-existant ppi is holding up my trustee's discharge!!!),I will start to chase creditors to amend things.

Trust deed completed Jan 2012,Trustee discharge Nov 2012.

Hi Lucygirl, the default date should be the day you signed your TD. I'm not sure about the other query, I didn't have joint credit.
