Good morning everyone,
Hope someone can put some light on this situation. Before the weekend i sent out some email to my old creditors in regards to my situation so i could get correct amounts for debitors aplication pack. And find out who owed certain accounts or if they had been sold onto other companies so i know the companies direct.
Ive just had a intresting email back from one of loan companies and i'm now not sure what i do about it.
They told me that the accounts had never been sold on and infact the accounts were no longer live and that in jan of this year the two loans i had with them had been written off and were now satisied by them because i had entered into a trust deed. I emailed the company back and explained in a little more detail about my situation as i assumed as of my trustee discharging himself because of my situation that the loans would maybe reactivated and i also asked if my trustee was made aware my loans had been written off and i recieved another email back saying that the accounts were still written off and yes my trustee was informed.
If my trustee was informed they had been fully written off? shouldn't i have been made aware of this? also they never said if the accounts would be reactivated after my trustee discharge so how does this work?
May be worth checking your credit files to see whats on them.
Paul
Trust deed completed Jan 2012,Trustee discharge Nov 2012.
A new dawn.
I actually did check it paul on noddle and both account say balance of 0 and upto date status thats why i'm unsure what this means for those two loans in particular with the impending change about to happen. It was home collector loans and i still have contact with my old collector as hes still comes to my home for my partner payments but even he cant make heads nor tails of it.
Hi Reidy1982.
In practical terms I don't think you need to expend too much worry or time on this.
You can mentioned the debts when you make the bankruptcy application. It will then be between the creditor and the trustee as to whether they are involved in any way or not.
Thank you trust deed assistant i just wasnt sure if i still added those or not onto the form, considering what they told me this morning in the email as there no actual balances to place as there zero so in there eyes they say i owe them nothing which took a rather large chunk of debt out of the equasion.
Hi Lou.
It may be that the debts are being administered elsewhere since the trust deed started and the person you spoke with could not see the real status.
I'd still pop them on the forms and let others sort it out for you.
