Hi everyone. I've been following forum for a while, but this is first time I've posted. I have been in my trust deed for about a year and a half now - half down, half to go!!

All seems fine, but out of the blue a debt collection company has started chasing me. Anyone got any tips for how to get them off my back?

Thanx in advance

Hi Craigiec

Best contact your trustee and give them the details. It happens sometimes, but they can do nothing to pursue the debt as the trust deed will deal with it.

Welcome to the forum CraigieC.

As Mark says, don't worry because they cannot touch you.

Hopefully your trust deed firm can deal with the potential annoyance for you easily enough.

Thanks, I'll give my trust deed company a call this morning.

Well, that was easy. Spoke to girl at my trust deed company this morning. She took details, said she would send a fax to the collection company, and obviously must have done, because when I called them tonight, they said that they had received details and would close my file down. Thanks folks!

A pleasure CraigieC.

It's always good to hear when things are carried out promptly and smoothly like this.
