I presume that the trust deed must have been set up on the basis that you describe, trust deed assistant. Given that Edinman's father had a terminal illness then maybe he just wanted some relief from his creditors in the meantime.

As Mark said, a trustee has an obligation to try and get the best price he reasonably can. I do think it might be worth seeking some independent legal advice and representation, Edinman, if nothing else it may mean that the trustee is more careful about fulfilling this obligation.

Thanks for your thoughts Mark and Kevin.

I did wonder whether, in the unfortunate circumstances, this just might be one of those exceptional situations where this approach might be appropriate and/or justifiable.

Edinman... As Kevin says (and I did previously in the thread) it really seems as though getting some legal assistance could be a good investment here.
