My wife has £8209 debt left through a das through Gregory Pennington and was told it would take another 10 years to fully pay off,we considered a trust deed as I had just finished a trust deed with Gregory Pennington.the advisor at Gregory Pennington said my wife could not go on a trust deed for some strange reason

Hi Johnbear2 and welcome to the forum.

For us to help you with some advice we need to know a little more about your wife's circumstances.

How much is your wife currently paying to her DAS per month? Also, does she have any assets and does she work?

Providing your wife meets the criteria for a Trust Deed then I see no reason why she couldn't convert from the DAS to the TD. If you can tell us a little more we can help.

Definitely best to let us know a little more Johnbear2.

There can be technical reasons why a trust deed might not work for some people, but different insolvency practitioners sometimes view the same scenario in slightly different ways.

Did they give you any clue as to their reasoning, Johnbear2?

Hi Johnbear2,

I have spoken to the team about this for you. There are reasons behind the recommendation which, for obvious reasons, I'm unable to discuss on here. However, I have asked the team to give you and your wife a call to discuss further.

I hope this helps and should you wish to get in contact directly then please do so via the contact us section of our website.

Kind Regards

Ian Williams - a member of the team at Wilson Andrews
