Hi
I completed my trusteed in December last year having paid everything on time every month. I assumed that my creditors would be paid after paperwork etc was completed. However, I was told about the issue with VAT on TD's and it would be a while before anything was paid out. I have been discharged from my TD but it is now 8 months later and my creditors still haven't been paid, is there anything I should/could do to make this happen?
Hello finnvanb83 and welcome.
I'm not sure there is much that you can do I'm afraid. One worthwhile step might be to ask your trustee where there is any anticipated timescale now.
Have you been discharged?
Hi finnvanb83
Sorry, but the excuse is nonsense. We pay interim dividends to creditors throughout the period of the Trust Deed. There is nothing to stop your IP using a % of the money and calculating and paying an interin dividend, then closing the Trust Deed with a final dividend after the VAT issue is resolved.

HI
Thanks for the replies. I have been discharged from the trustdeed, I would just like my credit file to be updated that the accounts have been settled. I realise that my file will be affected for another couple of years but feel that it isn't really fair that the money sits in their bank account instead of going to my creditors.
Mine was a very similar one to yours. My last payment was December last year and I only received my form 5 letter of discharge at the end of June. Yesterday I was informed that the statement of realisation and distribution of funds to creditors has been completed and my Trustee has discharged themselves.
I know the road seems endless but it will finally happen [:)]
Hi finnvanb83.
If you have been discharged you don't need to wait for your credit file to be updated.
