Hi all,
Just wanted to share a bit of positive news. Having been getting lots of phonecalls from creditors - even once TD has become protected - I spoke to two companies yesterday and explained about my PTD and they could not have been more understanding or helpful. They reassured me that they would ensure my file was updated and that I would receive no more correspondence from them.
I felt so much better afterwards as I have to confess at times to having avoided answering the phone altogether![:I]

Hi worriedme.
It's always good to hear of helpful positive contact from creditors.
I'm sure it's not that rare for things to be done correctly, but for obvious reasons we generally hear a lot more about the frustration caused when certain debt collection outfits don't have the appropriate training and processes in place to deal with these situations in the appropriate way.
Hi worriedme,
And anyone else feeling frustrated by the continued calls from Creditors following the signing of a Trust Deed and even after protection.
Worth considering:
a. Take details of who called, what debt it relates to, any reference numbers, fax and telephone numbers and who called and pass to Trustee by email or letter and request contact be made - debts are regularly passed to other agencies to chase in the hope of a return.
b. A copy of the circular sent to all known creditors should also be sent to you and you could copy and send onto the Creditor who is chasing.
c. Send a copy of the Protection Certificate to the Creditors
d. Pass on the Trustee's details to the Creditors and ask them to contact the Trustee direct.
