I am in the early stages of a signing a trust deed and i have monthly deduction coming from my pay roll dept . i have added my credit union into my debt .i have contacted my payroll dept to ask them to stop , they said that that has to come from the credit union . any ideas

Welcome to the forum duke1888.

I thinking this might be a situation where you should ask your trustee to intervene to resolve this. They should be able to contact the credit union to explain what's going on.

I can't imagine that whoever you spoke to in your payroll department is correct - surely it is up to you whether to allow non-statutory deductions from your payroll or not?

Regardless of this, the credit union is not entitled to collect this money if you are in a protected trust deed, so you should either contact them yourself or ask your trustee to do it and the credit union would have to notify your employer accordingly.
