TD complete Jan 2015 and awaiting form 5.....,,.,,

I checked my report and have around 6 defaults ( all of which are credit cards /loans) included in my trust deed. Some of which are stating defaults in 01/2016 - I'm not sure of the particular credit cards companies as I got rid of the cards when entering the original TD.

In addition one of the loans which was included in my TD is from the same lender as my mortgage (which I'v never defaulted in) and I'm worried about contacting them to resolve the loan default date in case it affects the mortgage????

Am I right in saying all the defaults on my score should date the same date at which I entered the TD?

Any advice on how to contact credit card companies / nationwide to alter the default date would be greatly appreciated.

I'm now very keen to try improve my credit history over the next year. I'm aware these defaults will remain for the next 3 years ?

Hi Suzie.

The dates you need to find are when the default notices were actually issued, rather than the current reporting.

Is that information apparent on your credit file?

When I click on them the first date of issue varies for each of them between 2012 and 2013. We began our trust deed in Jan 2013.

Not sure if theirs anything i should be doing.

Kind regards

Suzie

Hi Suzie

I am not sure which credit reference company you are using. I do not recognise the term 'first issue'. I have had Experian and Equifax. I currently have Noddle (free of charge) and Checkmyfile (£7.99 a moth reporting on Callcredit and Equifax).

When I click on each creditor account it shows Date of Default.
That is what you are looking for.
And that date should be the same as the signing date as your trust Deed.

The credit reference file should show the creditor. Some will show the address and even telephone number.

I had creditors but no account numbers. I used my name and address when contacting them and advised if it was a loan or credit card.

Good luck in getting them corrected.
