I have been discharged from my trust deed and want to get my credit score up. It shows I have defaults against a few accounts can i ask creditors to show this as settled now and how?
Thanks

How long ago were you discharged, kirstie? If very r cent then you might be best to wait a short time to give the creditors a chance to update their entries on your credit file. You can then concentrate on contacting any remaining.

Hi Kirstie.

Once you've been discharged you can ask for any default notices to be marked as being satisfied (or partially satisfied).

It's really just a case of contacting each creditor and requesting that this gets done. Some people have communicated by letter, others by phone.

Some people have also raised complaints if their request has been rejected, or if it was not dealt with within a reasonable period of time.

Some members have also reported that they've received modest amounts of compensation.
