There was a flurry of posts about when an account stopped showing Default even if the Trust Deed had dropped off. Something about was it kept for 6 years from Trust Deed or six years from last default recorded.

There may have been clarification at some point that I have missed, however, for those who are interested, here is exactly what has happened with mine.

Trust Deed August 2009. Settled 2012. Discharged 2013.
Removed from my credit reference file August 2015 (6 years).

All credit accounts linked to the Trust Deed that had a matching default date (which is the correct date) are also removed irrespective of when the last default or non payment showed on the account.

The three remaining accounts have original default dates of September and November (which I chose not to pursue any further) so I anticipate two will fall off next month and the final one in November.
Had I pushed to have the date corrected properly to the Trust Deed date they would all be off by now.

My lender credit score has gone up to around 880. This is what lenders will see.
The credit reference report states that the current score is affected by the fact that the balance is close to the limit (temporary position since I chose to pay a holiday with it).

My public score has gone up to 995.
According to the credit reference information, it is the public score that potential employers see they cannot access credit information.

The CheckmyFile website reports on debts and public information with Callcredit/Noddle and Equifax. They only report on public information score from Experian.

Noddle are up to date with all my information. Equifax are behind with the information and it is often incomplete. I cannot tell the lender information with Experian unless I pay for a membership or the ยฃ2 for the report to be sent.

I hope that this is some help to the members here who may be unsure about how and when all the credit reference information is removed, particularly any question about the Missed payment / DF status showing in the payment record history.

That's a really useful clarification Firewalker, thanks for taking the time to share it.

A permanently confusing subject!

Happy to share TDA. I have learned a lot from here.

I just hope it makes sense (I know what I mean :-). Happy to clarify with anyone if required.

Thanks firewalker, I just posted on a post relating to this.
I have started by tackling Noddle, some accounts are not on there at all- mainly newer, good status accounts.

The rest are mixed and messy, some showing default dates as much earlier than our date of award of sequestration in 2012.

Credit card and mobile phone ACcTS show defaults continuously every month, a sea of red over 48-60 months.

I raised disputes but Noddle reply that the creditor won't update or correct them ???

Addressed on another thread RBSB - might be best to keep this in one place to avoid confusion.
