I completed my trust deed in May of 2016. I received my Form 5 in May of 2017 (Knightsbridge). When I checked my Credit Report I have found most of my debts are noted as satisfied, but one with BOS has shown up as Default, and has a date of 31/05/2017 showing. This account has shown as default throughout the Trust Deed with an accompanying balance of 0, and then changed to being Dormant/Inactive for March and April 2017 and for June has once again shown as Default with a balance of 853 showing. Can someone help explain what is happening and what I should do>
Hi EMT
I had a similar problem with one of my creditors.
In my case there was an issue with the software and after disappearing it kept re-appearing. It could be something similar or could be simply an updating error.
I suggest you call or write to them quoting the Trust Deed signing date. The discharge date is not particularly relevant for your Credit Report.
If writing, send a copy of the Form 5 highlighting the signing date and the discharge date. Ask that they update your credit report to reflect correct information (default date should be Trust Deed signing date or shortly after). Should not be any later than the Protected date.
Good luck.
Thanks for that advice I will certainly give this a try.

I'm having a similar problem, in that 2 of my creditors are still showing defaults every month (and a balance!) despite my having finished in November 2016. I have been in touch with my distributor to sort it out, but they've not had any success yet. I've just written to them to ask them for the details of where I need to write to to try and pursue them myself. Hope you get yours sorted!
I have only started my TD and I am curious as to why people have concerns about credit reports. Having found myself in this very difficult situation (hoping it will get easier as time goes on) I never want credit again so I am thinking I am not bothered about credit report. Am I missing something in this regard?
Hi Silly
I felt the same for ages. As time went by, I wanted to be clear of the Trust Deed and to see a 'clean sheet'. A reward for the hard work in completing the Trust Deed.
I did not want anyone to know I had a Trust Deed and see that I had defaulted on the accounts. It was not to get any other credit, but to feel it was a new start.
Credit reference agencies may be consulted for mortgages, rented properties, employment to name a few, so many people are keen to have it clear for different reasons.
In my own case, the Trust Deed did cause a bit of a problem in my job since I am a bank signatory. When something was changing with the Bank, it was highlighted through a background check, and I was approached by the Bank about it. Embarrassing, but the Underwriters did accept the reason for the Trust Deed.
So, there are multiple reasons for wanting to have a clear record.
Perhaps you will feel differently as you come close to the six year date.
