Hi lewpy.

Is it the balances that are now marked as satisfied or partially satisfied?

Or is it default notices that were issued on these two accounts?

Hi TDA,
Apologies i have got this wrong ,but am now confused and angry!
HBOS have updated my account to settled BUT there is now an"account caution flag" in place! this apparently indicates a risk. has anyone come across this? does this come from equifax or hbos? was feeling good that i had completed TD, progressing with tidying up my credit file and now feel like they are punishing me for the debt! advice appreciated
x

I don't know much about account caution flags I'm afraid.

A quick online search suggests they might be added when they detect a future payment risk (the lender).

Have they had their dividend yet do you know?

I thought that during the course of your trust deed that one of the conditions was that you could not take on new credit????

That's a myth downandout.

It's generally a pretty bad idea though.

I don't think that's what lewpy is referring to here.

Thanks for your reply TDA. downandout I'm not applying for credit but have completed my TD and want to get everything tidied up.
TDA have not seen this mentioned on here before. I presume they have their dividend. I have received my form 5 and had to send HBOS acopy after i requested they update my file.
I am concerned that should i apply for credit this will be an added detriment

Has your trustee been discharged lewpy?

You can check on the Register of Insolvencies (via AIB website).

Sounds like the dividend should have been paid then.

You may need to ask HBOS to remove this marker. Does it indicate when it was added?

yes it was added 31/01/14 the same day my account was updated to "settled"
soo disappointed! i have submitted a question to equifax asking for more information etc. I havent received anything in writing from HBOS to say they have updated but i will defenitely query this.
Have you come across this before TDA? Has anyone else on the forum?

Hi Lewpy

I am trying to get HBOS to update my credit file (without joy so far). the latest time period for them to do this is this week. I will let you know if they mark my file in a similar way. The other accounts which have been updated say Satisfied. I have not noticed such a note on those.

In Noddle the account moves from Open Accounts with Default showing to Closed Accounts with Satisfied showing.

In Experian, they all remain visible on one page/section with Default and the amount owed, then they were changed to show Default with Satisfied, alongside in place of the defaulted amount.

I hope that makes sense. I do not have an Equifax membership so don't know what it says.

thanks firewalker. didnt have much trouble with hbos... until this. wrote to the data controller at the mound and about 10 days later got a letter from a london office asking for form 5. its about 2 weeks from then until now when they (i presume) have added this ntice to my file as well as updating my account to satisfied. Frustrating!

Hello lewpy.

I couldn't remember "account caution flags" being mentioned here before, but I just used to forum search function to check. They haven't been so this obviously isn't common in these cirucmstances.

I wonder if the flag was added when the dividend was received and it was recognised that no further payment was going to be forthcoming. This would be in line with the "future payment risk" that I mentioned earlier. I am guessing here.

I think you've got a good chance of getting them to remove it. There's no "future payment risk" now, there simply is no future payment due at all.

Hopefully this will all be fine. Please let us know how you get on.

Thanks TDA, I too searched the forum but found nothing
below is my answer from equifax. even more confused now!
The partial settlement note means that the company received the final payment to settle the account. Even the final payment doesn't fully cover the actual balance, this is still considered as a full payment. The partial settlement flag was from lender. A default balance is the balance on the account at the time it defaulted. This stays on the account for six years from the default date even if the account has been settled.
Any ideas? do you think i should go direct to HBOS?
