hi there just been trying to clean up my credit file and wandered if anybody had an address for northern rock who are no more.the debt was handed over to grant thornton and i wrote to them to update the file but now find that the account is still in default but is now open again and showed closed before.anybody got any advice on this please on way forward.thanks.

If the debt was handed over to a debt company you may have to contact them,virgin money bought over northern rock so maybe try them to see if they have info.

.aye did send the relevant info to who bought the debt over to and now it been changed to that.

Ironically Northern Rock were my biggest creditors and they don't even show on my credit reports! The smallest one was a catalogue and they do go figure....
