Hi all,

Just thought I'd post this incase it helps someone. After having been discharged from my trust deed for just under a week I applied for a Vanquis credit card and got declined. Everywhere I read said that Vanquis was the easiest to get approved for and if you don't get Vanquis not to try Aqua or Granite.

I applied for an Aqua credit card a few days after my rejection from Vanquis and got approved with a ยฃ250 credit limit and 50% apr. By any stretch of imagination an absolutely terrible card but it's perfect for me when all I want to do is rebuild my credit rating after my trust deed.

Just incase anyone has come out of a trust deed and are concerned about rebuilding their credit rating, it's been almost painless for me so hopefully could be for you too. Also shows that credit card companies take more into consideration than just your credit rating.

That's good of you to share this mm991.

While rebuilding a credit record will be important for many, it's good that you acknowledge that the interest rate makes these cards suitable only for the very shortest borrowing periods.

We used vanquis for a while and it served a purpose. Other than the interest rate its a very good setup.

Marbles is good also. I am up to credit limit of 2500 with them after 1 year of finishing trust deed. Still can't get a loan though
