Hi there

I am two years into my trust deed and I am trying to look to the future in terms of mortgages.

I am wondering if it is possible to start building a better credit score now, before I complete my trust deed?

Can I take a credit builder card to help me?
I was thinking of one that costs £4.95 per month for a year and therefore counts as a little loan that has been successfully paid back!
Obviously, I am not spending/buying anything on a credit card.

There's nothing to stop you fron taking credit whilst in a Trust Deed, kapap. Is this the type of card where you load funds onto it first before you spend?

Hi again kapap.

There's some uncertainty about just how much these CreditBuilder cards actually can help.

On top of that, the level of help provided is likely to be minimal while you remain in a trust deed.

I guess there's therefore a big question about whether that £60 per year might be spent on something more useful while your budget remains restricted.
