I have 2600 in owed from previous years from the same address that i am in now. Can i include this in a TD and if so should i stop paying the ?ú200 a month i am paying them back before i enter the TD?
The monies are being payed to Scott and co at the moment and i dont want to be up in front of the sheriff for non payment .
Hi hellfire
Yes, council tax arrears are included in Trust Deeds.
The decision to stop paying is pretty much up to you. The council can fast track legal action, however it appears pointless if, say you pay the ?ú200 on the Monday ajnd sign a Trust Deed on the Tuesday.

thanks for the advice. I wasn't sure that if i stopped paying before i enter the Trust deed that they would be whisking me off. just like to say the advice you guys give here is fantastic, cheers for helping out the little people 🙂
