Hi I'm new to this, but would apprciate some advice. I am almost at the end of the second year of my protected trust deed. My fiance whom i met after my trust deed started is coming out the army at the end of this year and is thinking of buying a home for us both to live in. If the house is only in his name surely then it will not affect my trust deed? The debts are all my own personal ones and i am currently in rented accommodation that goes with my job. I do realise that if i move my payments will have to be reassessed depending on what i pay towards rent elect etc with my partner but surely they wouldn't be able to take the house into consideration as it would be his?

Any advice would be most grateful

Hi Buttons

You are correct. If the property is in his name and post TD, then it will have no part in the TD. If you move in together, you will need to do a revised income and expenditure.
