Hi

I am new so please be gentle. I had a car on PCH at the start of my trust deed, the cost of which was permitted as an expense. It has now come to an end and I will need to get a new vehicle.

My question is my wifes father has offered to get the car credit and we repay him. Would this be allowed? My wife cant get credit either due to her sequestration

Hello pingpong.

I doubt there would be a problem with this so long as the payment doesn't affect your continued trust deed payments.

Talk it through with your trustee if you're uncertain.

Can't see it being a problem as long as the car is required and the payments are reasonable (ie not more than you were paying previously should be ok I guess). Would definitely get ok from trustee first though.

Guys thanks for the replies

I will contact my Trustee however, I may be discharged (June 2014..... hopefully) by the time they ever get back to replying.

Cheers
