Yesterday I received two things from my Trustee. One a letter saying trust deed has entered its 4th anniversary.. It will be 5 years in Sept.
Due to arrears trust deed is expected to finish in Aug 2016?
Now I have over the years of the trust deed indeed had arrears and in Jan 2014 i asked for an update from my contact person.At present there are contribution arrears of £3,400.
Below is a cut and paste from that email.
Based on the assumption that your current reduced contribution of £200 continues until the end of the trust deed and taking into account the extension of the trust deed period to allow you to miss your March payment, your last contribution will be due to be paid in July 2015.
Since then I have had two more sanctioned delay of payment one in March 2014, and one in Oct 2014.
So to me that means two additional months added on which should take it to Sept 2015.
Anyone have any insight to why my trustee thinks its Aug 2016????
I have also received my review which shouldn't be due until Sept? I'm confused,frustrated and to be honest a bit depressed as in my mind I'd finally be done with paying this this summer..
Help!!! I feel like I'm being strung along to get more money out of me.

I think the easiest way to look at it will be to take the total arrears as at today's date and divide them by the contribution amount.
If you say there are £3,400 arrears at present and you are paying £200 per month, then you have 17 payments to go. On this basis your final payment would be August 2016. I think the 2015 date is just a typing error.

That 3400 arrears was in Jan 2014 .. when I asked for an update
thats why I'm confused..
The letter I received yesterday says current arrears are 2200..
Any insight?
I will of course be phoning when I can.. hard when i work 830am to 5 pm tho . 🙂

It does sound strange. Probably the best idea would be to ask them for a full accounting of all payments received since the start of the trust deed. ( obvious I know ) this will at least give you full details of all payments made and when these were made to allow you to cross check against your own records.
My guess is that they have just got the dates mixed up, but best have this confirmed.

Aye very confusing.. I shall let folks know what happens after I can get in touch with the contact person..
Who is now different than it was a few months ago.. No notice naturally .. grrrrr lol
