Hi folks wonder if anyone could shed any light on this for me. I completed my Trust Deed in January this year. I expected to get a letter from IP confirming same but they tell me they do not send confirmation and just confirmed my discharge from TD verbally when I called to ask for a letter. I tried
the Accountant in Bankruptcy office who said they would expect IP to issue same. Again went back to IP but no joy and I get the impression im just annoying them now.
Should I have received this? Should I continue to chase IP?
Sorry to be a pain.
Cheers
Hi Hamish and welcome to the Scottish Trust Deeds forum.
This all seems very strange. After having met your commitments to the Trust Deed the very least I would have thought your Trust Deed company would do would be to confirm this in writing to you.
Hopefully one of our experts will be able to confirm that you should have received confirmation in writing and also how you might proceed to ensure that your Trustee now does so.
Are you aware of any issues that remained to be resolved at the end of your Trust Deed?
Hi Hamish
there is no formal letter of discharge as such, however you should have been copied in to final circulars etc to creditors confirming this.
I would get back onto the IP and demand confirmtion in writing that he has brought the Trust Deed to a close and it's not sitting on some shelf somewhere.

Many thanks for the advice. There is definately no issued TD was completed without any problems and they have confirmed discharge verbally. I will send a recorded letter demanding written confirmation from them.
Many thanks.
Hi Trust Deed Assistand
IP's should sent copies of all circulars to the client as well as the creditors and AIB's office.
