I have recently been discharged from my ptd, but my trustee in still in office, claiming PPI. In the next month or so (I think and hope), I will receive an accident claim. My question is, is this mine or does it go into the pot?

Hi Lessskintnow

I suppose legally ( and generally) the claim wasd made pre discharge and therefore would come under the control of the trustee

Thanks for the quick reply Mark, though not the answer I was looking for! I thought once I was discharged that was it. Untouchable so to speak. I take it it wouldn't make a difference if the trustee was discharged too?

Hi Lessskintnow

If the Trustee is discharged, then he can have no claim on future payments/claims. At present he is, in effect, still dealing with the trust deed and the assets of the trust deed.

Thanks again Mark. Hopefully they will discharge themselves soon then! One last question, if you don't mind. This might be a "how long is a piece of string" question, but how long does it take to process PPIs?

I'm not entirely sure, but I'm aware it is a lot quicker than it used to be. At a guess 6-8 weeks.

Having been an avid reader of this forum for some time now, and with no disrespect to anyone else - given the feedback from others (about yourself and your firm)on here and elsewhere e.g. being aware of how personal all this is etc. The service you provide is first class. People are people and not just a number. That seems to be your ethos. I, and no doubt many others could go on. Basically you're d man Mark!

Hi Lessskintnow

Thanks for the kind comments, they are very much appreciated.

I think due to the nature of the job, we need to deal with things this way and fortunately my team are all exactly the same as it will never be a 9-5 job.

It may sound overly dramatic, but if I mess up, then my mistake can have a devastating effect on the people I deal with and those individuals are of paramount importance.

Regards and thanks again
