Hi everyone

Could someone give me any information please.
Myself and my partner are in a trustdeed. We have been since nov 2010.This morning we got a letter from HMRC saying we have been overpaid child tax credit for the year 06-07(amount being ยฃ1750)which we new nothing about.Call child tax credit line this morning but girl really was not much help she told me she would send me out a form to fill in and return if we disputed that we were due to pay.Can anyone tell me if this should be the case and there has been an error somewhere down the line will i have to pay this money back or can it be included in our t/d.We dont even get any child tax credit now so money cannot be taken from any payment that we get.

Hi mamo25.

I think the first thing to do will be to verify that you agree you were overpaid.

If so, you'll then want to contact your trustee for their guidance about how to proceed.

If it turns out you do owe the money then it would be included with your other creditors in the trust deed, mamo25
