Hi all, I am wondering if an increase in my child tax credits will mean an increase in my TD Payments?
Up until now, my mother has been taking care of my toddler while I work. But she is unable to do this now due to ill health so i have put my son into a nursery while I'm at work. I contacted the tax credits people to see if I can get help paying for this- which I can. So my child tax credit payments will increase, but I will still need to pay 30% of the childcare out of my own money. So, yes, my tax credits are going up, but ALL of it will be going to childcare costs.
I'm just checking, surely as this extra money is accounted for, and I'll actually be ยฃ60 a month worse off , that my TD payments shouldn't go up ?

Hi nemo1

If you have an increase in income and also an increase in expenditure, then I cant see any reason for the contribution to be increased.
