Hi All, new poster! Although I've been scanning the forum for months now.

I have a question...My work have a 13wkly bonus scheme which means if we do well we all get roughly ยฃ300 each paid in with our wages, we need to work hard for this and everyone gets excited when it comes through. It's not always guaranteed but when it does come in everyone is chuffed.

There is a girl in the office who has a PTD and she gets the work to issue her with a cheque if we get the bonus and she cashes it in at the cheque centre and it's accepted. Is there any this could effect my PTD if i was to do this?

Obviously it doesnt appear on my bank statement and the cheque then becomes the owner of the cheque centre and not me?

Does anyone know the background on this?

Cheers muchly

As extra income it should be declared to your trustee. Its a dangerous game to play, does a p60 at the end of the year detail this extra bonus??

Hello BBM1 and thank you for your enquiry to the trust deed forum.

Any overtime or bonuses need to be declared to your trustee, i wouldn't suggest trying to hide anything, honesty is the best policy BBM1
