We in the site support team have been contacted by a number of debt management plan clients of Chase Saunders.

News reports on the internet, including a news article in "Debt Management Today", suggest that the company has gone into voluntary liquidation.

I wonder if anyone has any further information or news on this situation that would be useful for other visitors to the forum?

Hi TDA

I must admit I'm not surprised Chase Saunders has went bust. A lot of these companies I think will go down the same route.

I've came across them on the web etc and they haven't exactly set the heather alight. The Chase Saunders customer relations appears to be poor at best.

Be interesting to see who's next!

I've been checking the web and my advice to anyone would be to stop payment until matters are clarified. Some of the comments people have made on the web don't make great reading ie

'I have been with Chase Saunders for 6 years. It all started to go weird last February when I found out none of my creditors had been paid since October 2009.'

'well i only found out TODAY about chase going bust, they did not tell me. i found out from personl dept helpline. well i have been told they have been bust since july and i have still been paying them beliving they are paying my creditors.'

and last but not least:
'It is correct, chase saunders have gone bust! They are now trading as intouch financial solutions, same offices, same staff, I know, i used to work there until last week! The staff knew as much as the clients.....nothing. we were told it was a bacs problem for about a year! they were as bad paying staff as they were creditors. if anyone calls saying they are taking over, just cancel and go with another company! great relief to be out of there!'

Obviously we cannot vouch for the accuracy of these comments but it's totally clear that there has been some turmoil.

I'd think that existing clients would want to obtain, at the very very least, strong assurances before continuing with their payments on a debt management plan.

Here's a thread from last month about this company and the possible transition from a debt management plan to a Trust Deed where appropriate:
